Notion is the most powerful, flexible productivity app I've ever used. It's the closest thing I've found to an all-in-one tool... but with that power comes a lot of confusion and overwhelm. To make the problem even more complicated, most online tutorials focus on complicated templates and methods to run your entire life on Notion... which is very overwhelming.

Running your entire life in Notion is possible, but it's not the right place to start. In fact, it's ok if you never reach a level of expertise you see on YouTube. Aspiring to that level of organization is actually damaging in the beginning. It creates a huge gap in understanding and is difficult to overcome!

Think about it - how many times have you opened up Notion, pulled up a YouTube video, have your eyes bug out at the complexity, then close Notion and start making lists in Apple Notes again?

In reality there are only a handful of blocks and actions you need to start using Notion effectively. You can use these basic blocks, pages, and database types to create all kinds of helpful templates and frameworks to manage your life and work.

In this two day workshop we'll balance instruction with implementation so you feel comfortable setting up and using everything you learn. We meet in a Zoom room so that when you have a question we can work through "face to face" instead of trying to explain a complicated question via text. Just share your screen and let's fix it!

Day One ☝️ Setup, Blocks, and Dashboards

On the first day we'll cover the basic setup of your Notion account, which blocks to use and which to ignore, and how to create your first Dashboard. You'll also learn how to create a multi-view database to track your favorite books, shows, or movies.
